A lot of people say they’ve got what it takes to teach you all of the components of an Online Success Blueprint. I’ve learned from some great mentors, but the clearest and most successful approach I’ve learned is from my mentor and close friend, Alexandria K. Brown. I attended her first ever Online Success Blueprint Workshop two years ago. My mom, and business partner, found Ali through Lorrie’s newsletters. She called me from Tulsa, Oklahoma and said, “I want you to save the date for a fun yacht party…” I agreed and plugged it into my calendar.

Then, using The Art of Persuasion, she said, “Oh, one more thing before we get off the phone. Will you please get on your computer and read this one web page page while we’re on the phone. We need to make a decision before midnight tonight.”

I was so reluctant I can’t even begin to tell you. I had just wrapped the final project I had been working on with a long-term 3-year client, and I decided I was ready to launch my own business. Admittedly, I was feeling burned out, excited and overwhelmed in my life. I couldn’t even begin to think of taking on one more thing. So I clicked on the link, complaining as I did it and expressing concern that my mom was falling for some sales pitch from some Internet marketer wanting to take advantage of her, and began reading.

I saw this really cute picture of Ali in a fun hat, and then next to a Koala bear in Australia and another in her cute VW and the next thing you know, I was about three or four paragraphs into it and I said, “Mom! We HAVE to go to this!!!” I converted in a few short paragraphs. I couldn’t believe my resounding, “YES!”. You’ll learn a thing or two about copywriting from Ali, too!

Mom and I have been dreamers for a lot of years, co-creating wonderful images in our minds about business visions we wanted to accomplish. I had been great at getting it done for clients, bringing in $750,000.00 in our first year of sales (EST. $5,250,000.00 to date) and press releases that still pull on Google 7 years after I wrote them. But I still hadn’t been able to implement it all for myself, for us and our business visions. So by midnight, we were signed up, mom had her flight to San Diego lined up, and we were planning what outfits we were going to wear to Ali’s Big Birthday Bash on the yacht.

Mom flew out and we got busy and incorporated Strategic Living, Inc. right before we went to Ali’s first ever Online Success Blueprint Workshop [OSBW]. We had lots of “ideas” that had been percolating, but no solid plan. I knew that what I learned from Ali literally cut my learning curve in half if not more… The experience? It was incredible! I actually feel so incredibly lucky to have been at the first ever OSBW, because it was such a sweet experience for us.

I tearfully thanked Ali at the end of the workshop and told her that she had given me wings for my dreams to take flight. I’m tearing up even as I write this remembering that day and seeing her response to what I said. She knew. I knew. It was a big moment - A DEFINING MOMENT - the kind you remember forever…

This is uur FLASHY FLASH site that we love because it is beautiful… It is super pretty to look at, but doesn’t convert because it doesn’t have any of the goodies Ali taught us. Plus, our web designer won’t give us his “proprietary flash conding content” so if something happens to him or his files or our site, we can’t work on our site. They should call that “web-jacking” and yes, I’m bitter about it after what has been spent on it… Plus, I can’t even get in there to add the stuff that would make it work for us. You know, all the things Ali warned me about. Gee, the stove really IS hot…
